CEE CN site

In 2010 the Citizens Network continued to work closely with the Council of Europe on the overall implementation of the Code of Good Practice for Civil Participation in the Decision-Making Process. CEE CN director, Chuck Hirt, was appointed as a member of the three member “Expert Committee” which had responsibility for the strategy and assessment of  the Code implementation.  On June 6 – 7, 2011 Chuck was able to attend a conference in Budapest which was hosted by the out-going President of the EU on the topic of building Civil Society.  One of the topics at the conference was the Code of Good Practice and Chuck was invited as a member of the panel to talk about what our Network has been doing to help with implementation.  There was a lot of support and appreciation expressed for the work that has been done by CEE CN.
