Co-ordinated, awareness-raising events and surveys, involving international and national publicity

 This year we organized the fifth Citizens Participation Week. In the previous years, over 180 civil organisations joined the programme and gained the commitment to the cause from a number of public figures and leading politicians; the series of events received high-profile coverage in the local and international media.

This year a partnership process started between the CEE Citizens Network and the Council of Europe to harmonize two important European initiations, the "Citizens Participation Week", and the "European Local Democracy Week". The common values and the timeframes of the events gave real opportunity for the local and national actors to implement cooperative actions on the different levels. Learn more about ELDW here:
