Background

Since 2005 Millennium Association of Education and Research has took a recponcibility to involve ctizens in anticorruption activities. Athouth the state anticorruption commission had been established in Armenia in 2003 no action related with the citizen participation had been undertaken. In 2004 Millennium worked out the strategy of involvement citizes in anticorruption activities and presented it to the interested stakeholders. In the framework of the afore mentioned strategy impelemntation the first public reception had been established in November 2005 in one of the regions of Armenia. It was the first pilot reception in Armenia and it got a big positive resonance. Successful experience of first reception has been expanded to other regions of Armenia.

Some of the events related to anticorruption activity took place during CPW-2007.
