Public hearing to strategy proposal of the town Kostelec upon Orlice

Citizen of Kostelec upon Orlice came together to discuss the future of their town on 25 September in early evening. In local club Rabštejn the public hearing of the first working version of Town’s Strategic plan by the year 2025 took place. It is not easy to judge how much people will be interested in this – in town history solitary action. Surprisingly, interest was great – almost 100 citizens came together in hall including representative of the town, managing team and working groups. Public hearing was hummer, however constructive. Those, who came short of ask a question or theme to modification, or they could not take part on negotiation, have a possibility to put their reminder until 30 November 2006. (Reminder sheets are to disposal on town’s web site – www.kostelecno.cz, on filing room of the town and also a special e-mail address was created to this purpose) Subsequently all these topics will be evaluated by working groups and if need they will be enclosed into proposal. A group of experts from CCO assumed the control of reminder’s processing, who moderated public hearing. Action, which run over below slogan „Together about Kostelec" is financially upheld from EU fund, via Center for European projection. In the end of the evening 3 participants of the public hearing were drawn lots, who won free admission card on closing concert of Tůma’s festival with fireworks.

Informative and educational seminar for non-profit organizations about possibility to acquire finance for their activities

The purpose of the seminar was to inform nonprofit organizations from the Přerov region about their chance to request the financial substances from other sources beyond structural funds of European Union, about actual challenges, present them other chances of financing their activities, especially Regional authority’s funds, ministries donation programs, grants of foundation and endowment funds and international financial resources.

27 nonprofit organizations from the Přerov region took part in seminar which took place 26 September 2006. Volunteer fire companies, organizations working with children and youth, sports organization, breeder, seniors, clubs unify women etc. were the participants.

NGOs learnt what are the supported areas, what amount of money they can request etc. Nonprofit organizations can use the chance of consultation and guidance till the end of year from service workers, who will help them in case of NGO’s interest with processing project applications.

Similar seminars will be organized in further months in Konice, Sternberk and in Jesen?k.

Community planning of social services Meeting of the working group Family, Youth and children

How can we know what people really want?How to improve quality of life in the city?

It is a kind of work in the social sphere which leads to the improvement and increase of social services in the region. It is based on the principle of democratic dialogue with all the participants in Community planning (CP).

„We will plan services together in the way we really want and need them“. It is the introduction motto of the project „community planning of social services“ (CPSS) which is being implemented since April 2006 in Lipn?k nad Bečvou and in the surrounding municipalities (which depend on Lipnik na Becvou). The project is planned to go on until July 2007. The project contractor is the City of Lipn?k nad Bečvou and the project implementer is the Centre for Community Organising (CpKp) of Central Moravia. The project is implemented in the framework of the Joint Regional Operational Programme (JROP) and is co-financed by the ESF. The project implementation is linked with the activities of the Regional Authority of Olomouc region. Its goal is to improve on the long-term the quality and access to social services, analyse the effectiveness of existing social services, support the existing social services and plan the introduction of new, better and more accessible types of social services, involve the different stakeholders (contractor, provider, user and the public) into the social problematic, reduce social exclusion of the most socially excluded groups of the population.

In the framework of the CPSS project in Lipnicko (i..e the microregion around Lipnik na Becvou) four working groups have been set up and meet every month. The members of the working groups have the opportunity to take part in the creation of the future types of social services in Lipnicko. Working groups focus on the issue and offer of social services for senior citizens, disabled people, Roma community, and family, youth and children. The work of the groups include commenting the questionnaires, helping with the implementation of the survey between users of social services and the wider public, and especially drafting and commenting the proposals concerning the future of social services.

On 26th September 2006 the working group „Family, Youth and children“ met <;/span>at 2.30pm in the framework of this project. The meeting took placec in the Cenre for free time, in the premises of the cinema „Svet“ in Lipn?k nad Bečvou.

The working group „Family, youth and children“ is composed of the triade, i.e. City of Lipnik as the Contractor, providers of social services and users of social services.
