The first photo describes a building the Park of Generation in community Pervomajskaja in the Donetsk (Ukraine). The young and more active community inhabitant for the improvement community environment decide to build Greenfield inside community and leave the park for the next generation which will use it in the future.
On the second photo you can see the process of education in computer classes for community leaders from Territorial Communities Coalition (under patronage of Regional Development Agency “Donbass”). Today computer literacy is the more important aspect for communities’ activists in coalmine settlements for personal growth and strengthen skills for the labor market opportunities.

Eco Week
June 6-12, 2005

The purpose of Eco Week was to awaken people’s ecological consciousness. During that week following events were held:
June 6 – Eco Transport Day. On that day a group of 20 people wearing T-shirts with the logo of the week (see photo 1) were driving around the city on bicycles calling upon using this ecological transport (bicycles) more often.
June 8 – Eco Graffiti Day. Painting grey city/garden concrete walls.
June 10 – Eco Trade Day. A fair was organized so that every citizen could get acquainted with pieces of art from Chernihiv region of Ukraine.
June 12 – Clean Sunday. On that day volunteers picked up garbage in green areas of the city (see photo 2).

Part of the project «Local self-government and citizens» was implemented in the village Markovo (Town of Slatina). In the first part of the project, we worked on the education of the citizens and members of the local self-government councils about legal functioning of the local self-government and tools for citizens' participation. For practical implementation, citizens and authorities of Markovo selected tool «Planning public space». Creative workshop indoors and outdoors was conducted with the aim of sketching shape of future village main square, which didn't exist until now. After several propositions were made, citizens and authorities agreed on the final solution. Beside that, it was decided that they will also arrange and equip small village hall , which is complimentary with the square.Additionally, citizens and authorities ensured part of required funds from local firm for communnal works «Komrad» and from local self-government, while OGI ensured the rest of funding through the project. In the end, snall village square was built. Citizens contributed with their voluntary work. Similar activites were conducted also in the village Bakić, which is nearby.
Total worth of the works in Markovo was 16.000 $.
