Short description of your project
Through this project, CeRe and its partners aimed to monitor the management of structural instruments by Romanian institutions, especially regarding transparency and NGO access, as well as to increase NGOs role and capacity to act as both social partners and applicants in the implementation and evaluation phases. In the long run, the project expected impact was to contribute to a better management of Structural funds and the Agriculture Fund for Romania
The specific objectives were the following:
- To evaluate the transparency of the institutions responsible for structural funds and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the access of NGOs to these funds
- To promptly identify through an Early Warning System (EWS) the difficulties met by NGOs and other stakeholders (local authorities) regarding structural funds transparency and efficient management
- To increase the capacity of collective action of NGOs to act as watchdogs regarding structural funds
The project targeted public institutions that have responsibilities in the management of the following operational programs: Operational Sectoral Programme for Human Resources Development, Operational Sectoral Programme for Environment, the Regional Operational Programme, the Operational Programme for Administrative Capacity Development and the National Programme for Rural Development.

Abstract
Members of the "Rudezis" Association from Giurgita village (SW Romania) participated to ALLAVIDA's complex capacity building program for community based organizations and in its frame they implemented an educational project for Roma children in their community. The case study presents how the program affected the organisation and its members, the community and the beneficiaries.
