Abstract

This case study describes a citizen participation initiative, which was realized on April 21st in the small town of Sevlievo, Bulgaria. 20 students from all the schools in the town joined the government of Sevlievo Municipality together with the major and his team. Each youth had his position in the hierarchy of the municipality - even the major had his substitute. The initiative was aimed at informing the young people on the structure and the functions of the local authorities and to increase their involvement in the design-making process as well.
